Yellow labrador sitting looking at camera

8 months  (DOB: 02/03/2020)

Female (De-sexed)

Unique is a gorgeous little pocket rocket who simply doesn’t have the right temperament to be a Seeing Eye Dog.
She is a high energy girl who can also be unsure of new things in her environment. She may not be suited to the life of a guiding dog however she will make a fun pet for an active household.

Unique is a very clever pup. She will need a home that will provide her with lots of opportunities to use her busy mind and expel her energy.
She can become worried by new or strange objects in and around her home, which will often result in her alert barking at strange sounds and people walking past.
She is still quite young and is very food motivated so will do well with clear boundaries and further obedience.
She will need a family committed to providing her with ongoing training,  lots of love and patience to help her feel safe and happy. A home with good routine will suit her best.

Unique loves spending time in her crate. When the door is left open she will happily take herself in for a rest during the day and it provides her with a nice safe space to sleep in at night.
We highly recommend her new owners continue to use one to help make the transition into her new life as a pet as smooth as possible.

Unique loves her walks and getting out and about.
She can be very boisterous with other dogs so would suit a household in which she is the only dog or a household with a sensible older dog that could act as a good role model and teach her good doggy manners.

Due to her high energy she would not suit a home with young children.
She will make a fun and cheeky little mate for older teenagers and adults.

If you think you can provide Unique with a loving forever home please apply.

Unique is available for adoption after November 12th to Metro Melbourne based applicants within driving distance of Kensington, Melbourne.
